Why Mould Prevention Is Recommended For Homeowners

Mould is not just ugly to look upon but very dangerous as well. It is vile, disgusting and it silently preys on living creatures, including humans, causing anything from allergic reactions to serious respiratory diseases. Mould is offensive. It is irritating and disturbing, not only to the eye, but to the nose as well. Clearly, if you see any evidence of its presence, you must utterly obliterate it.

Should you be ashamed if you detect mould in your home? No. Mould shows up even in the dwelling place of even the most virtuous homemaker. The trick is basic mould prevention and to make its immediate destruction your mission. Should you be ashamed if you let it linger? Well, yes. A mouldy home is actually something to be ashamed of.

What exactly does it say about you if you willingly co-exist with mould? What happened to your standards? If you’re a parent, what does it say about your care-giving capabilities? Mould definitely has to go. It’s unsightly and injurious. You can’t let it stay. A simple tip would be to seal the clean and dry surfaces which are most often prone to mould. With a grout sealer, you can effectively slow future moisture penetration especially on tile joints.

  1. Having moulds forming in the corners of your room is really very disgusting. I used to just scrub it with a soap detergent but now I think I will be using bleach instead. Thank you.

  2. Me too! I used to scrub it with just water and soap. I did not know bleach can also be used to get rid of mould formations.

  3. Informative blog. It is interesting how mold can grow very fast and spread in a home. Definitely not good for your health! A mold specialist can get to the source of the problem and get rid of the mold so it won’t come back. Thanks a lot..
